Resonator delete

I keep reading articles about resonator delete giving me a more noticeable exhaust note and I'm all but down to do that. My problem is that no one mentions any downsides. I'm assuming there's going to be drone, but how bad is it? I have the 2008 is250

Doing a res delete will get you drone, definitely, but it's up to you to decide if it's too much or not. It's a cheap way to get a slightly louder exhaust, but at the cost of comfort. The second gen IS is a smooth cruiser and a resonator delete will disrupt that, unless that's exactly what you're after. I don't think you'll have too much problems around town, but it will become a problem on longet journeys at constant speeds, especially around 2k to 3k rpm
